Kaulana

The “Kaulana” is a sixty-five foot double deck power catamaran. She offers whale watches daily, departing from the Lahaina Harbor. This boat is very large and stable. There is an enclosed lower cabin as well as an open-air upper viewing deck. The waters off of Lahaina are a breeding ground for humpback whales, they come here to mate and give birth. Often times you will see the giant humpbacks slapping their pectoral fins or tails on the surface, spouting water as they breathe through their nostrils, or even breeching. Breeching is when the whales jump out of the water with the entire front half of their bodies. This sort of behavior is thought to be part of the mating rituals of the whales and off of Lahaina, Maui is one of the best places on earth to witness this spectacle. …

Just wanted to say a special mahalo to you. Our trip was amazing and you truly have a gift when it comes to planning!! Snorkeling with Aqua Adventures was great they were so kind and encouraging. My husband and experienced snuba with Todd and he was so patient!! The helicopter ride went very well with Alex Air and our pilot was experienced and confident which was so reassuring for me (this activity my husband chose). The Luau was fun at the Marriot too.
