Our family had a great experience on a recent afternoon snorkeling tour with Maui Snorkeling. We saw several whales on our boat ride and spent about an hour at Turtle Town. Captain Paul was super friendly, along with the staff members who kept us safe, informed, and content. The 25 foot inflatable slide was definitely a highlight (although make sure to plug your nose and close your eyes going down or else you'll get a high-pressure saline wash of your sinuses!). The boat also had plenty of shade and was clean and seemed well-maintained. Finally, Maui Snorkeling had free reef-safe sunscreen to use, which we really appreciated. All in all, highly recommended!
Great family friendly, relaxed, and super enjoyable snorkeling tour. Turtles weren't abundant, but we saw some. Crater was amazing. Crew was happy and friendly. Captain was entertaining. Would definitely recommend!

Best tours on Maui, we've done whale watching and snorkeling. These people are the best.
My family had a group of 13 and we were excited to go have a fun time with a sunset and dinner cruise. We weren’t aware that the whale watching and dinner part were about an 1/8 of the time on the boat. The food was mediocre and fairly cold and the crew was mostly nice. When it came to the “astronomy” portion of the cruise things took a turn for the worse. Not super peaceful stargazing, it was an astronomer talking about stars for a big portion. We were demanded to turn off our phones, and we were reprimanded if we didn’t. My brother was checking the time about 15 minutes after she told us to turn our phones off, and he was yelled at for doing so. It was NOT a kind reminder, he was downright scolded. As the night went on, my family and i were spending time together and chatting about all the things she was talking about, and we were “checked” for talking. If your family, like mine, cannot sit still for 2 full hours in the dark talking about astronomy i do not recommend. Overall, it was an okay experience but the disappointing part was the astronomy part. Very rude and unnecessary behavior. To add on, there was a “laser pointer” used to point out the stars, as there were planes passing by, not sure if that is legal. It was also not used appropriately as one of my friends got it shined right into her eyes. Please be mindful when booking this cruise .
We went on a boat tour in March and saw very distant black spots. In my opinion, that doesn’t count as whale watching... There’s probably a peak season when whales can actually be seen

Our crew consisted of Aaron and Connor who are very experienced in finding whales and explaining their behaviors during their time on Maui. We saw many whales and some dolphins which really made the trip special. Thank you Aaron and Connor for making our trip such a wonderful experience. We highly recommend.

Maui Diamond Sea Sports was awesome to dive and snorkel with. We chose a carrier whom would allow me to dive and my wife to snorkel. They were 100% professional and took us to the best dive spots in Maui, especially when weather was in the way (Pali coast sites). We saw so much with them (Turtles, eels, octopus, so many fish, starfish, etc.) It was absolutely epic adventure and would not have been so without Captain Ben whom took us up and beyond and David wrote out fish names underwater on his white board to educate. Very cool experience and I so HIGHLY recommend - I'm going to dive with them again!!!
Although I haven't dove more than 20 times, I've been a PADI open water diver for almost 25 years. In all my excursions from Mexico to Belize to the Philippines, I have not had a dive experience like that afforded to be by Maui Diamond. They have been first class in all correspondences, answering all my questions quickly. And their crew and captain are the most professional I have seen. They cover every detail of the excursions, including setting up all gear, even if you bring your own, as in my case. They were friendly, courteous, informative, and made me feel like I was part of the crew. I cannot recommend them more for either beginner or experienced divers to enjoy the magic of Maui.
Both dives were cool, there was only one thing I should have taken with me and that would be the neoprene as they didn't have the right suit with the right thickness and unfortunately I was a bit cold. Despite everything, everything was carried out very professionally
We've been back to Maui 2 years in a row now and will only dive with Maui Diamond! Amazing Beth asks us what we are looking to check off our list and always books us the most amazing sites! This year, we checked all the sea life boxes! From eagle rays and white-tipped reed sharks to frog fish, white-mouthed moray eels and more sea turtles than we could count, it was seriously the best dives ever! We have been on trips from Fiji to St. Croix, and Maui Diamond is by far our favorite charter! Thank you so much to BOTH Dave's (especially Dave S. this year for all the video) Capt. Ben, Kim, Nick and Kelly! Beth, you absolutely ROCK! Can't say enough cool things about Mala pier, what an unexpected treasure in a place I thought was WAY too crowded to see anything cool...I still can't believe it!!! EVERYTHING was down at 35ft feet just waiting to be discovered!
One of the best dives as we were able to do two dives at Molokini. The boat was awesome, clean, and lots of room, the crew was superb and very attentive, dive masters were great and very professional, snacks and drinks were delicious. It was an all around awesome experience and worth every penny.

My wife and I did two dive trips with Maui Diamond, the Molokini Crater and Molokini Back Wall. The crew was great and everything was well considered. They offered my wife extra layers and a smaller tank which made her dives much more comfortable. Between four dives over the two trips we saw the vast majority of the sea life Hawaii has to offer and some great underwater landscapes off the back wall. Highly recommended dive operation and we will be back for more in the future!

What a great experience! Exactly as advertised we were able to see a ton of turtle and the water was very clear. Great sandwiches and snacks, and we were even able to see some whales popping out of water on our way back! I suggest bringing a sweatshirt if you are going out in the morning .
We had an amazing time snorkeling with Makena Coast Charters. Joe and Lucia were incredible. We saw an abundance of fish, turtles and even saw 5-6 humpback whales! We have gone snorkeling in Maui with three other companies but this was the best experience we’ve had thus far. They even provided food and beverage for all riders. Will definitely be traveling with this company again!!

He took the time to have us go to the turtles first - no one was around! When we got to the crater we had a small window w hardly anyone around before a big tour boat rolled in. Even w that there are guidelines where everyone can explore.Go w the small tour operators if you want the 1 on 1 feel. You don’t feel like a number w them. It doesn’t feel touristy at all. Very impressed and thank you for such a wonderful morning out!In one of the photos you will see a very small reef shark. Maybe 3-4’. At the crater the clarity was also really good.

What a great excursion! Highly recommended! Snorkeling in the Molokai Crater was breathtaking and we had the amazing experience of following a mama humpback and baby calf for most of the morning. Simply amazing! Capt Brandon, Shannon and Jeff were equally great! Jeff was an encyclopedia of whale information! Great crew who was knowledgeable, hospitable and great fun!
We went on another snorkel trip with Sail Maui. We had a great trip. Fantastic whale show (best of the year according to crew), great snorkeling and a crew that made everything smooth and fun. Too bad about the broken shiv for the mainsail (was to be fixed tomorrow) wonderful day
Great expereince with our family of 5. Nice size boat - we saw lots of other larger snorkeling boats, and this was a nice size and great staff. Food was quite good. The staff was very knowledgeable and ensured we saw lots of whales in addition to the great snorkeling.
We loved the boat and the crew. The sailing was amazing! Our boat was quick in light wind and the crew kept the cruise quick and comfortable as we kept an eye out for whales.
Nicolas and his crew provided a safe, fun, easy going experience. We cruised, snorkeled twice, ate light breakfast and full lunch with eager bar tenders when we all finished in the water. We were a party of six adults and the boat had lots of room for us and other guests. Apparently the captain is a Whale whisperer as every few minutes another close view of whales was provided.
We did the "Turtle Reef Breakfast Snorkel & Sail" with Sail Maui and it was PHENOMENAL! I would highly recommend!!! For breakfast they had fresh fruit and delicious breakfast sandwiches (Vegetarian options available when booking). They took us out to a great spot with lots of turtles. Only one other snorkel boat was there, unlike some spots where we saw 4 or 5 boats and tons of people. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. This was a GREAT EXPERIANCE and cost less then a lot of the other companies offering similar experiences.
My girlfriend and I booked a sunset sail out the Lahaina harbor. First off the crew Kevin and Justin were amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. It was a smooth ride and very relaxing. It was almost the end of our trip to Maui and was a great way to finish it off. We would recommend Sail Maui anytime. The boat Paragon was well maintained and in top shape. The views were amazing and is definitely worth going.
