Our first time in Hawaii, and the experience was absolutely amazing! 🌺🌴 The crew members were energetic, fun, and made the entire experience so enjoyable. My family had such a great time from start to finish! If you’re visiting Maui, this is definitely a must do experience! The slide was an extra perk that my kids absolutely loved! 💦😄

This was our first time in Maui (birthday trip!), and we booked this tour with zero expectations… which made it even better when it turned out to be one of the highlights of our whole vacation. The crew was delightful, friendly, clearly knew what they were doing — and most importantly, they had a great sense of humor. Captain Greg was the best. I’m just glad we didn’t piss him off, because apparently the punishment is the “shark kids song,” and I wasn’t emotionally prepared for that.
They had inflatable slides, which I was SO excited to try. I waited patiently like a good student… didn’t slide at Turtle Town because I thought they’d inflate it again at Molokini. They didn’t. I’m still recovering emotionally, but it’s fine. I’m fine.
We didn’t expect breakfast, lunch, or unlimited drinks — my boyfriend booked it and conveniently forgot to mention that part — so that was a very happy surprise. The whole experience was comfortable, fun, and worth every minute. Also, shoutout to my Dramamine for keeping me classy.

This was an amazing trip! The crew worked like a well oiled machine. Fruit, pastries and coffee for breakfast, sandwiches chips and pasta salad for lunch. The Mokolini crater was amazing and the slide the deployed from the top deck was so much fun! There was even a professional photographer on board who captured amazing photos of the family! All around very professional tour! Highly recommend Captain Greg and his crew!

What stood out to me most with this was the crew. Captain Greg is most comparable to a modern day Jack Sparrow, and his crew (Walker, Dani, Sarah, and Emily) were so fantastic. You can tell they work together day after day and have become what is best described as family. They welcomed us aboard and showed us a fantastic time. They also shared with us the spots around Maui the locals visit and how to get the most out of your time on the island. Not only were we provided with a great dive, but also new friends.

The crew was fantastic. We were so lucky to find them. On the previous day, most tours were cancelled because of weather, so I found them while leaving the pier. I decided to book them for next day. They made sure everyone was safe while keeping it fun. We had the best time. We were unable to snorkel close to shore due to high surge but they had an alternative plan. We snorkled the Crater area and the captain and crew were able to put the slide in an alternate place, so we never felt as we were missing out. Definitely would only rebook with them! Thank you!

My wife and I had a great experience with Maui Snorkeling. The captain and staff are wonderful. They create a wonderful atmosphere around something that can be an intimidating environment for people. They kindly offer refreshments and food while on this adventure as well. I highly recommend Maui snorkeling.

We had a great experience aboard. Traveling with a 15 month old is not for the faint, but they were so helpful and kind (as well as our fellow passengers - thank you nana Sue). Captain Keola and the whole crew were engaging and made our experience so enjoyable. We saw lots of fish and 4 turtles. The food and drinks were delicious and plentiful. We also purchased underwater pictures from David at a reasonable price (IMO) ($40pp or $125 for a group of 4). Would definitely recommend!!

We had the ultimate experience! Captain Greg and all the crew we absolutely amazing! 20/10. They made sure we got to all the good spots all while maintaining safety and the most important, fun and amazing snorkeling! Wow, the sites were amazing. We saw Sea Turtles, reef sharks and all sorts of marine life including the reef! Highly recommend!!

From the moment we boarded, the energy was upbeat, welcoming, and fun, and the crew kept that atmosphere going the entire trip. You could tell they genuinely cared about everyone having an amazing time, and it made such a huge difference.
Honestly, after seeing the other boats in the harbor, I wouldn’t choose any other company for this particular activity. We got a pretty good look at the groups on several of the other boats, and it really confirmed we made the right choice. You could actually see the difference in the atmosphere — our boat was full of laughter, excitement, and smiling faces, while many of the others looked much more serious or crowded. The crew created such a positive vibe that the whole experience felt more personal and memorable.
The adventure itself was incredible, and the staff did a great job balancing safety, fun, and entertainment the entire time. They kept everyone engaged, comfortable, and excited without ever making things feel rushed.
One recommendation: renting the wetsuit top was absolutely worth it. You’re already out there making memories, so you may as well be as comfortable as possible while doing it! Was doubting my life choices when the alarm went off at O’dark thirty/0500 hrs on vacation. Booked our trip for March 31 hoping the wind would be gone but no such luck. But we bundled up and headed to the marina anyways.
Found reasonably priced parking right by the boat slip. The crew was GREAT. Sydnie got us checked in and onboard while Emily and Chayon got everyone outfitted with their gear. The wet suit tops they had for rent were life savers. Capt Greg, aka boat driver guy, had a great sense of humor but took the safety of his crew and guests seriously.
We hoped to go to Molokini crater but Mother Nature wasn’t haven’t it. Capt Greg and crew still got us on two different moorings despite the wind. The second one was protected from the wind and had a good number of turtles to watch as they swam around us while we snorkeled. We even got to see some whales on the way out and before heading back to the marina.
The Lani Kai is a nice size boat very comfortable and great swim platform astern. At the second stop, crew was able to deploy the inflatable slide which the kids and young at heart enjoyed.
I would definitely book again, even if it means getting up at O’dark thirty.

We had an absolutely amazing time on our dolphin and snorkeling trip! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food and drinks were delicious. Our whole family had such a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment of the experience. We would definitely book this trip again and highly recommend it to everyone!

Such a wonderful, family friendly snorkel experience. Captain Dan and the entire crew were amazing!
Everyone was knowledgeable, willing to answer any questions, and very accommodating. Learned lots of the local snorkel area and of the wildlife with any of the crew able to answer questions my kiddos had. Boat was clean, food was great (captain Dan sure can bbq!) and having such a friendly crew made the trip so enjoyable! Sailing back after the morning of snorkeling was also so relaxing! We’ve been on a few tours with Pac Whale and everyone we’ve done has been amazing!

Amazing experience! The entire team went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We were running late because of traffic and so one of the staff parked our car for us so that we could make the boat. The staff were so kind, friendly and attentive with food and drinks. We saw so many turtles and had such an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this to everybody.

The boat accommodated 100+, everyone comfortable. Options to sit out front, to or inside under cover. Crew was on top of things always, Captain’s consistent information and instructions were on point. Crew assist with singing Happy Birthday to my granddaughter!

We did the Molokini and Turtle Snorkel Adventure with PacWhale Eco Adventures and had a fabulous time. The Captain and crew were excellent, and were very safety conscious, and took us to 3 great snorkeling sites. The food was very tasty and plentiful, and drinks were readily available. The educational explanations were brief, but extremely interesting. We would definitely recommend PacWhale Eco Adventures for your excursions, and look forward to trying another adventure with them in the future.

Took the 8am Molokini and turtle town snorkeling tour. Loved the light breakfast that was offered. Banana bread, croissant, and fruit. All sorts of drink options available. Crew and music were awesome. Crew offered floatation belts to all who wanted them. Molokini was a bit rough when we got there. So glad they had some boogie boards to help keep me above the waves. Was a bit crowded because we had to stay in our small section. Turtle town was a lot calmer and we got to spread out a lot more. Only one turtle was spotted. Lunch consisted of chicken, hot dog or soy burger. Mac salad and greens. With chocolate chip cookies offered at the end of the tour. Some of the passengers were lucky enough to see a dolphin on our way back. Overall I think it went really well.

We accidentally showed up a day early for our snorkeling trip, and the staff was incredibly accommodating and helped get us sorted out without any hassle. That set the tone for the entire experience.
We took the tour that went to the back side of Molokini, and the crew was fantastic—friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. You could tell they genuinely cared about both the guests and the marine environment.
The snorkeling was amazing. We saw sea turtles and lots of fish, and some people on our trip even spotted what appeared to be a baby shark on the backside of Molokini.
One thing to know before you go: this boat didn't have much shade, so bring plenty of sunscreen, a hat, and anything else you need to stay comfortable in the sun. I believe the other boat have more shade.
The food was surprisingly good. The continental breakfast, especially the overnight oats parfait, was delicious. After the last stop at Turtle Town, the pulled pork sandwiches and hot dogs really hit the spot after a morning in the water.

The snorkeling was amazing. We saw sea turtles and lots of fish, and some people on our trip even spotted what appeared to be a baby shark on the backside of Molokini.
One thing to know before you go: this boat didn't have much shade, so bring plenty of sunscreen, a hat, and anything else you need to stay comfortable in the sun. I believe the other boat have more shade.

The sunset cruise was absolutely amazing! Not only was it beautiful but the staff made the experience 10 times better. Marisa was fantastic and very accommodating. I have a food allergy and they were very careful when serving me. The food was excellent as well as the experience and to top it all off we got to see whales with the season being basically over. Highly recommend!

I work for a 5 star hotel here on Maui. I must give PacWhale a 5 star review. Captain Aaron went out of the way to find the last stragglers of whales this season. This was not on the schedule for the day. First mate Aaron provides amazing, kind customer service. He would do well as a server in a high end restaurant. And Josh was wonderful, graciously educating us about the ecology we were seeing including leading us on a Reef edge drift snorkel along Molokini’s deeper side.
PacWhale goes above and beyond every time! The education they provide, the quality of service, and the quality of food and beverage are full tilt amazing!

We had an absolutely amazing time on our dolphin and snorkeling trip! Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food and drinks were delicious. Our whole family had such a wonderful time and enjoyed every moment of the experience. We would definitely book this trip again and highly recommend it to everyone!

Amazing experience! The entire team went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. We were running late because of traffic and so one of the staff parked our car for us so that we could make the boat. The staff were so kind, friendly and attentive with food and drinks. We saw so many turtles and had such an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this to everybody.

We did the Molokini and Turtle Snorkel Adventure with PacWhale Eco Adventures and had a fabulous time. The Captain and crew were excellent, and were very safety conscious, and took us to 3 great snorkeling sites. The food was very tasty and plentiful, and drinks were readily available. The educational explanations were brief, but extremely interesting. We would definitely recommend PacWhale Eco Adventures for your excursions, and look forward to trying another adventure with them in the future.

Took the 8am Molokini and turtle town snorkeling tour. Loved the light breakfast that was offered. Banana bread, croissant, and fruit. All sorts of drink options available. Crew and music were awesome. Crew offered floatation belts to all who wanted them. Molokini was a bit rough when we got there. So glad they had some boogie boards to help keep me above the waves. Was a bit crowded because we had to stay in our small section. Turtle town was a lot calmer and we got to spread out a lot more. Only one turtle was spotted. Lunch consisted of chicken, hot dog or soy burger. Mac salad and greens. With chocolate chip cookies offered at the end of the tour. Some of the passengers were lucky enough to see a dolphin on our way back. Overall I think it went really well.

The best dives and the best dive crew!!! We went to Cathedrals at Lanai and had two great dives. My favorite was the white tip reef shark and frog fish but structures were also amazing. Countless dolphins on the way back, they put on a great show. Photos attached are from our previous trip with Maui Diamond and photo credit goes to Divemaster Dave!!! Awesome!

This is the best dive boat on Maui! Not only do they take you to best dive sites, but they have the best crew! Captain Ben will get you there and back safely! Divemasters - Dave, Joe, Brian, Kelli, Logan, Beth, Nick, David and occasionally Michelle are all super knowledgeable, safe, and will make the experience super fun! Been diving with them for years and just had our 14 yr old certified and they took extra great care to make sure he was comfortable and had a great dive! The divemasters experience and knowledge of the dive sites is exceptional. We love the Maui Diamond!

If you're looking for a top-notch dive operation in Maui, look no further than Maui Diamond. My wife and I spent two days out on the water with them, hitting both Molokini Crater and the Lanai Cathedrals. Beth and the entire crew was super friendly and made us feel safe and well-cared for the entire time, especially Captain Ben, whose professionalism was evident throughout our trips. Their local expertise really showed—they clearly know these dive sites like the back of their hands. Our dive guides, David and Nick, were fantastic, and David even took some wonderful photos for us. The boat was in great shape, and the whole experience was seamless. We had a blast and will definitely be booking with them again on our next trip!

Hands down this was the best boat dive experience we have ever had. The crew was professional, courteous, safety conscious and SUPER FUN! Dave was our guide and he did a phenomenal job making us feel safe, and comfortable both above and below the water. My two daughters and I did two dives off Lanai - both were awesome! Our family of four had an incredible experience diving off the Maui Diamond, and it exceeded all expectations from start to finish. From the moment we stepped on board, the crew made safety and comfort their top priority without ever making it feel overwhelming. Their professionalism and clear guidance immediately put us at ease, which was especially important for our kids who were on their first large group boat dive.

The Maui Diamond is an awesome boat, but second to the amazing crew! Captain Ben, Dave, David, Brian, Joe, and Logan are all top notch and gave us the best dive experience in our honeymoon. David was our dive master and he was phenomenal. Not to mention the THIRTY whales we counted who showed off all day! We truly had such a great experience and highly recommend this diving company, vessel, and crew if you want to dive on Maui! This was my second time with them and I will be choosing them again, and again, and again!

That's the main word that describes this dive outfit. I have been diving for 37 years, I grew up in South Florida and have experienced so many dive companies all over the world. The Maui Diamond Sea Sports staff, equipment, boat and experience is world class. This week was our third year and 6th trip with the Maui Diamond. You get broken into small guided dive groups, provided with detailed dive briefings, as well as all kinds of snack and drinks including delicious homemade banana bread(with or without nuts, they think of everything). Did I mention the price is totally "market", very fair reasonable pricing compared to other dives. The boat is big and extremely comfortable, the staff will set your equipment up if you like and put your personals in a large waterproof bin under your setup, a clean working head, 2 ladders with hot water spray off after dives. Our guide took amazing professional looking photos and air dropped them to us after dives making my GoPro useless lol. If you come at the right time of year the dives are just like a whale watching tour, you see so many whales on the trip to the dive sites
. I will say though we did do the whale watching tour with Maui Diamond and we had done one previous from the same harbor and I could easily say Maui Diamond did a much better job. Two main reasons is the boat is so roomy and not cramped with people and once again the staff is world class, so knowledgable about the area and very funny while keeping that same first class professionalism.
If you want the best diving and whale watching, look no where else, I saw a lot of the other boats out on our dives. They don't come close to the level of the Maui Diamond and its staff.

A very professional crew - went out for a 2 tank dive at Molokini Crater and nearby coral reef. The check-in process was easy. Love that we could do our waivers prior to arrival. Rental dive equipment was great. Michelle was our dive instructor; she was very positive, friendly, welcoming and assisted a diver when in need. I felt very comfortable diving with her and the Maui Diamond Crew. They changed out our tanks and kept our gear organized and dry. We were a little chilly and they hooked us up with some reusable heat packs which made us happy and warm. An extra perk was seeing whales on the way in and out of the harbor. Would dive with the Maui Dive crew again - Captain Ben, Michelle, David, & Nick! Would recommend to friends looking for a good diving crew!

We did the Cathedrals boat dive and it was amazing. The crew was great, the dive was great. It's a little more pricy for the boat dives but honestly worth it between the full service offered, quality of staff, providing lunch/snacks. I would definitely do this dive again and with this company.

We had an amazing snorkeling trip to Molokini with Makena Coast Charters! Captain Matt and Lucy were both fantastic, friendly, energetic, and they made the whole experience so much fun.
When my dad started feeling nauseous, they were quick to help and made sure he was okay, which we really appreciated. They also took us around the beautiful coastline. The views and snorkeling were incredible.
I highly recommend Makena Coast Charters, especially Captain Matt and Lucy. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

I’ve snorkeled all over the world, and this was by far the best tour I’ve EVER done! The customer service was outstanding, special thanks to Captain Matt and Lucia for their tremendous hospitality. The crater is an absolute must for any snorkel enthusiast, the water clarity and volcano were both unforgettable. Would highly recommend this excursion to everyone, it’s life changing experience!

Fabulous trip! Matt and Lucia were very helpful and informative. They help you with your mask, snorkel and fins AS well as getting back on the boat!!! If needed they provide “noodle’s” to help you float.
The crater was super clear today as the surf was a bit low( the early morning trip favors that condition) We even saw a big eel ! After leaving the crater we went along the back side of Molokini. Coming out along Makena and the seeing the very expensive homes Then we were fortunate today to visit Turtle town. We saw over a half a dozen turtles sleeping or floating around! What a treat! The swim back to the boat was an effort and a bit far for those who are not great swimmers. We had plenty of time at both locations in the water. After the swims we were given sandwiches, chips and a drink. Very filling
It was a perfect trip and totally recommend Makenna Mele excursions.

What an amazing experience. Captain Matt, and Kyle were informative and entertaining. It was a beautiful trip. We did the Molokini crater and turtle town 3 hour cruise. Worth every dime!! We were informed about endangered species and the bird sanctuary at the crater then off to turtle town. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to encounter several sea turtles. (Keeping a safe distance of course) Yori was amazing with communication and reminders. There were snacks, drinks and sub style sandwiches. The entire experience was just perfect. Highly recommend.

We had such a great experience! Captain Matt was excellent and guided us well. You could tell they knew all the spots to go to. Would absolutely go again! We loved the smaller group and closeness to the water. The snorkeling gear and food were great. Wonderful time!

Great adventure with whales breaching!! Great crew and Shelby was so nice and knowledgeable about the whales and captain Matt was cracking the jokes! Perfect excursion efficient and easy!! Saw tons of cool fish and even an eel!

I had such an amazing experience with Makena Coast Charters! I did their Whale Watching tour to Molokini crater. The water was crystal clear and you could see so many different fish. Captain Matt and Lucia were absolutely amazing. Lucia used the hydrophone so we could hear the whales singing! They were surprisingly really loud but it was a beautiful sound, listening to them all sing to each other. She explained so many different things about the whales and how they travel to get to Hawaii, how intelligent they have to be to get all the way there, and how the mother whales teach their babies to explore safely. We saw more than 5 different whales on our way to Molokini and the crew made sure that they stopped and showed us where to look and ensured that everyone was being respectful of each other so that everyone got the opportunity to see and take pictures. I really had such a great time and experience! I highly recommend, it was worth it. AND! They had snacks 🙂

Best thing we did is Hawaii. Our captain Matt, and Lucia made the whole experience! We had an incredible encounter with a whale that swam under our boat. They gave knowledge and caught the whales song for us to hear. They brought us to the best snorkeling spot Monokini crater. The ocean was live and vibrant. We finished the 3 hour tour with a snap and Hawaiian juice as we found serval more whales. They truly made this trip special!

Was a great trip! Matt was great! He ensured everyone was safe and had fun. Was perfect for a quick trip. Molokini crater was beautiful! I really enjoyed myself and would definitely come back! Also getting to stop for whales was so cool! All equipment needed was supplied plus floatation options.

AMAZING Sunset Cruise!! The crew were kind, funny, experienced and down to earth. They did everything to make sure everyone felt welcomed and had an enjoyable time. And we did! Great sail, fantastic clean and comfortable boat, good food and drinks, and a beautiful sunset. An abandoned floating net was observed in the water while we were sailing and the crew kindly and responsibly took the time to get it out of the water. This is NOT a cruise to be missed!

Absolutely amazing day on the water sailing to Molokini and snorkeling. The crew was fantastic- helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the natural environment. Captain Brandon and his crew Ollie, Joe and Kenzie were super in all respects and our safety was always a priority. I have been fortunate to have sailed with many crews in the past 30 years, and by far this crew was the most personably, friendly, and just fun. It felt like having 4 additional members of our family, and all 11 of us felt cared for, safe, and seen. Not to mention they are working hard to bring back business to Lahaina in a thoughtful and meaningful way. That’s what struck me as impressive, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best group to explore Maui!

Our time on Sail Maui was the best! We did a sail and snorkel at Molokini. We had a smaller group this allowed us to snorkel by Molokini’s shore and by reefs end which was fantastic. We were super lucky and got to see a whole pod of dolphins from only 50 feet away. The whole crew, Brandon, Kenzie, and Jen were polite, energetic, and helpful! Captain Brandon specifically spoke with my husband for a good 20 minutes about all his Road to Hana recommendations, favorite restaurants, and secret surf spots. It was a joy overall! Support this small business.

Captain Brandon and the entire crew (Braxton, Megan, and Nate) were terrific. We got to do some sailing both on our way out and again coming back in, along with the snorkeling at Molokini. The conditions were perfect.
Each member of the crew was friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They all seemed to really enjoy their work. Captain Brandon loved sharing his expertise about sailing. You could see the joy on his face.

Now I see why they have a 4.9 rating with over 1k reviews! The crew is outstanding. We had a smaller group of 8 the day we went, and the service was top-notch.
Huge shoutout to Brendan, who was naturally funny and essentially gave my first-time-snorkeler wife a private tutorial. Megan also helped her out mid-ocean, which made the trip so memorable for both of us. Joe and Kent were awesome, too!

We sailed to Molokini with the 4 man crew of Brandon, Braxton, AJ and Tay. The teamwork and ease with which they commanded all aspects of the vessel and tour was very impressive, as was their knowledge of the local area and ocean habitat.
I have snorkeled many locations and have never seen ocean water clearer than it was at Molokini. The ability to see the color variations & fine details of the fish and coral, as if you are part of a picture being painted realtime, made snorkeling at this spot truly unique.

We had an amazing time on the Sail Maui sunset sail. The crew was incredible, and we were so lucky to see some of the last whales of the season! They truly went out of their way to make sure everyone had a special experience.
The storytelling throughout the sail made it even more memorable. Between the beautiful Maui sunset, the whales, and the amazing crew, it was one of those evenings we’ll never forget.
