Can accommodate people of all skill levels and the boat has a water slide and spot to leap into the water that is surprisingly a blast. Would recommend.

I would give this trip 10 stars out of 5 if I could! My husband and I booked the Molokini and turtle snorkeling trip and we couldn’t have picked a better first-time snorkeling adventure! Breakfast and lunch were provided and the crew was absolutely awesome! It also feels really good knowing your money is going to such an important cause, so I feel the trip was worth the price!The included drinks were also a bonus because the cocktails were DELICIOUS!
My husband and I did the snorkeling tour to molokini and another spot to see turtles (can’t remember the name). We highly recommend! Captain and crew are friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The tour was the perfect excursion for our day. They fed us breakfast and a delicious lunch, and kept us hydrated with plenty of juices and water. The boat was large and had plenty of seats and tables to comfortably enjoy the ride to and from. If you’re thinking about doing a snorkeling tour, this is a great one!

10/10 Experience! We recently went on the sunset/celestial cruise on our trip to Maui, and we absolutely loved the experience. Check-in was quick and easy and we left promptly at the scheduled time. There were four appetizers served during sunset (spring rolls, shrimp cocktail, pork quesadilla slice, tuna crustini), all of which were tasty. The sunset was absolutely gorgeous and that alone made the trip worth it. But Harriet and the crew were even better. We went when it was almost a full moon, so we didn't get to see quite as many stars as I'd hoped. But Harriet was super knowledgeable and engaging the entire time, and honestly was a delight. I particularly liked learning about the Hawaiian culture and connection to the stars, as well as her message about not being tied to the "right" way to identify constellations. My one gripe, which is barely one at all...was that it got really really windy on the way back into the dock which meant that I wasn't able to hear the last 20-30 minutes of the tour which was disappointing. But I would definitely recommend the tour if you're looking for a unique way to experience the stars.
I went on the snorkeling cruise to Molokini, it was beautiful the activity from beginning to end is gorgeous.My 3 star is for this captain Dan, I asked him a simple question of what the second location was called and his response to me was, “I’m busy” in the rudest way like really. You could’ve just answered with the name of the location instead! I knew you heard me🥴 If you’re slow just say that!Being dismissed like that in-front of people ruined my mood on the boat for a bit. I was by myself so it was extra weird to be disrespected that way and have to be on the same boat for another 2 hours.I’m the paying customer…he’s clearly bad at his little job….too busy to answer a basic question.Or he could just tell me one moment ☝️or give me a min… so many other better ways than dismissing someone.The rest of the crew was kind especially Danielle she was so helpful. Thank you!
Such a great snorkeling company!! We saw gorgeous fish and even an OCTOPUS! I was so excited about that and one of the employees swam down to point it out to my friend. And then we swam with a giant turtle! It doesn’t always happen but the fish alone are worth it! Incredible. Plus your money goes to a good cause. And I loved the informational talks during the cruise. Make sure to take Bonine if you’re susceptible to seasickness and wear LOTS of reef safe sunscreen! They provided breakfast and lunch and were really accommodating with my dietary restrictions. 10/10 wonderful!
great snorkeling at molokini and turtle town. we saw great fish and a turtle. crew was friendly and knowledgeable. food was solid, hotdog hamburger or chicken with cole slaw and mac salad. they had drinks. equipment was solid, but i do think they should give the neoprene shirts included, felt a little nickel and dimey to charge me 10 for it. after 3 uses they are straight profit. i love the content and the team. if you are considering this also consider calypso; it has water slides and steps. more eco talk i think pac whale is better.overall i think cost is a bit high but it does fund a non profit and the crew is top tier. i do think this cruise caters to newer snorkelers.
The worst snorkeling trip we’ve ever taken in Maui. The boat was absolutely DISGUSTING. There was so sanitation practices taking place at all, doesn’t look like the boat has been cleaned or kept up with in years. Also never made it to the destination we paid for. It was a complete waste of our day which is extra unfortunate considering it was a beautiful day outside. We were supposed to go to Lana’i which is why we chose this excursion, instead we were taken to probably the worst snorkeling reef in all of Maui next to a busy road. It looked like we were swimming in a dirty fish tank.
Absolutely incredible experience with world class staff, crew, and captain! Our family of four, with two teenagers, had an absolute blast on the snorkeling trip to Molokini last week. Claire did a phenomenal job answering questions and keeping us safe in the water as our lifeguard while snorkeling. The captain was top notch (with an awesome playlist) and Jake who is about to get his captain's license was also amazing--and apparently a top notch Chef as the food was delicious.And here's the thing, every one of them has a degree in marine biology or a related field--you simply won't find more knowledgeable people who are as passionate about protecting the ocean and also ensuring that you have a fun and safe experience while on/in the water with them!!! And, you are supporting the Pacific Whale Foundation which does incredible work on behalf of marine life, the ocean, and really the world since the majority of the oxygen we breath around the globe comes from, you guessed it, the ocean. Which I learned from Jake on our trip. 🙂 Thank you PacWhale Eco Adventures--you all are awesome!!!!

First rate dive op! Great dive sites, great boat, great crew. Capt Gaen, Michele, Joe, Kim set up all my gear on arrival and made the dives safe, fun, informative. Molokini backwall double: pelagic manta, 20 reef sharks, eels, stars, lobsters the size of dachshunds, cowry, cleaning stations, triggers, pyramid butterflies, surgeons, parrots, tons more! Lanai cathedrals: a great site. Snacks, cooler of drinks, warm freshwater rinse, towels, dry bins under your seat, overnight secure gear storage, good spacing, 2 ladders, easily accessible head, and sandwich on the Lanai trip.
My wife and I really enjoyed diving with Maui Diamond. They were enthusiastic about diving while not sacrificing an ounce of professionalism. We felt safe and had a wonderful time! We highly recommend using them whenever diving in Maui!
These guys are pros. They handled everything with the gear, gave us a top notch tour of Molokini and a fun drift dive afterwards. Saw some of the clearest water I’ve ever seen. I would highly recommend these guys for your trip.
Such a beautiful place should give you all the tools you need for a five star review, these guys got pretty close, but experiences that I have had with other dive shops beat the friendliness and consideration of this shop.This review has nothing to do with the conditions, even though they were rough and there was a strong current. Maybe I'm just not used to bigger dive shops, I'm used to a six person boat and everyone has a buddy, not a 30 person boat with a very loose buddy system.

I’ve dived in many places in the world, but everything about this dive boat, from polite captain, to fun dive master Dave and crew member Michelle were helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of complimentary snacks and refreshments available on board and boat was big and spacious for divers to roam around. I definitely recommend this diving company.

Great and very attentive crew! The 4 hours were filled with all the snorkeling you could ask for white them knowing exactly where all the fish and turtles were. No need to bring your own gear as they had top line equipment with all sizes as well as optical corrective masks.
We had a great day snorkeling with Makena Coast Charters! It was clear that the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had the best possible experience…from ensuring we had lots of private space in the water to offering restaurant and hiking advice. They offered so much more than just a ride to the snorkeling spots. And the snorkeling spots were incredible. Another bonus: small group size made it even more enjoyable.

Had the most incredible time today with Lucia and Brandon! The tour was incredibly well run, crew was knowledgeable to the max, and so kind and FUNNY! We couldn’t recommend them more.
Great and very attentive crew! The 4 hours were filled with all the snorkeling you could ask for white them knowing exactly where all the fish and turtles were. No need to bring your own gear as they had top line equipment with all sizes as well as optical corrective masks.
We had a great day snorkeling with Makena Coast Charters! It was clear that the staff went out of their way to make sure everyone had the best possible experience…from ensuring we had lots of private space in the water to offering restaurant and hiking advice. They offered so much more than just a ride to the snorkeling spots. And the snorkeling spots were incredible. Another bonus: small group size made it even more enjoyable.

We loved the boat and the crew. The sailing was amazing! Our boat was quick in light wind and the crew kept the cruise quick and comfortable as we kept an eye out for whales.
Nicolas and his crew provided a safe, fun, easy going experience. We cruised, snorkeled twice, ate light breakfast and full lunch with eager bar tenders when we all finished in the water. We were a party of six adults and the boat had lots of room for us and other guests. Apparently the captain is a Whale whisperer as every few minutes another close view of whales was provided.
We did the "Turtle Reef Breakfast Snorkel & Sail" with Sail Maui and it was PHENOMENAL! I would highly recommend!!! For breakfast they had fresh fruit and delicious breakfast sandwiches (Vegetarian options available when booking). They took us out to a great spot with lots of turtles. Only one other snorkel boat was there, unlike some spots where we saw 4 or 5 boats and tons of people. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. This was a GREAT EXPERIANCE and cost less then a lot of the other companies offering similar experiences.
My girlfriend and I booked a sunset sail out the Lahaina harbor. First off the crew Kevin and Justin were amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. It was a smooth ride and very relaxing. It was almost the end of our trip to Maui and was a great way to finish it off. We would recommend Sail Maui anytime. The boat Paragon was well maintained and in top shape. The views were amazing and is definitely worth going.
We went on a sunset cruise last night and it was by far the best excursion we have done in Maui yet. The boat was nice, staff was great and attentive. Our drinks were never empty. We saw whales and even a mother and baby. It was a beautiful night and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend doing this at least once during your Maui trip!
PERFECT trip with Captain Chase & his phenomenal crew: Shannon, Jamie & (I think) Stephanie!!These guys all genuinely cared SO much about giving us the best time!Despite unfavorable conditions at their normal snorkeling spots, they found a perfect location for us to get in the water. Wife and I spotted loads of fish & coral - and even swam with a sea turtle! 🐢Even though this wasn’t a whale watching trip, the captain told us all to be on the lookout and went out of his way to give us the best views! One whale even came up to play with us (Up Close!) for several minutes!The food was better than expected & while I don’t drink, all the guests seemed to be into the drinks available at the open bar. (My wife said the wine was good & my Diet Coke was never empty!)If you want a crew that cares about you & your experience (Not just your money) — you want Sail Maui & Captain Chase!!!
