Our Captain and crew was very welcoming and helpful. We did the afternoon snorkel to coral gardens. Nice protected cove with reef, fish, and turtle. Wet suit rental for $10-$12 was helpful. Gear worked well. The kids loved the slide, big big plus after snorkeling. Lunch is basic but all you need. They added a side trip to see 3 whales playing nearby. Very nice of them to give us this bonus experience. They had nausea meds onboard, which was helpful. They also had an underwater photographer who took pics of everyone and then you can buy a pic or the whole package of your group. $40-$150. These pics will be a fun memory. The captain have a meaningful talk about the recent fire and local impact, and that he appreciates our business and support for his crew. It was a highlight of our trip.

My two kids, aged 4 and 10 had an incredible experience at the whale watching and snorkeling tour. They were thrilled to get so close to the whales, and the experts ensured our safety while snorkeling. The staffs were friendly and knowledgeable, making the entire experience enjoyable and memorable.

We had a wonderful time. 5-6 hours seems long but it’s worth it and time passes very fast. We saw lots of whales and dolphins swim with us. Our captain was generous enough to take us where they could see signs of whales which made us see 8-9 whales all together. Also they have proper equipped gears and trained professionals in work.

The entire tour was amazing! We saw sea turtles, tropical fish, breaching humpback whales(seasonal), and dolphins! The staff were amazing and even got underwater shots of everyone snorkeling or jumping off the boat! Which is nice to have because I never have photos of myself ever!
Thank you for the amazing experience, it will always be in my memory forever and if I ever come back I definitely would book this tour again!

And yes you guys can absolutely post the photos of me of me and tagg me on social media! 🤩

They supplied snacks, food and drinks the whole time and the food was perfect for my family and me. Would recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing time.

Maui Snorkeling Lanikai was honestly one of the best parts of our trip. The crew was awesome from the second we stepped on board — fun, laid-back, and hilarious the whole way through. Greg’s playlist was a total banger (dude should DJ on the side), and Chatin and Danny kept everyone laughing and having a great time. The snorkeling spots were unreal, especially Molokini Crater—crystal-clear water and tons of fish everywhere you looked. Between the crew, the music, and the spots they take you to, this is easily one of the best experiences you can do around Maui. Highly recommend.

We were on a tour off The Pride of America cruise boat and the 6hr tour were well worth the money.
All staff were very friendly and willing to help anyone, regardless of snorkelling ability, and also encouraged people who were quite frightened to have a go.
Our captain, Emily, was very helpful and thoughtful, keeping everyone informed and updating us on what was going on and how long we had in the water.
Breakfast was great. When we arrived, we had banana 🍌 bread, fruit, and croissants 🥐.
Plenty of coffee and drinks on board.
Lunch consisted of grilled chicken, beef, and veggie burgers, where you make your own burger with lettuce, tomato, and onion. They also had macaroni salad and coleslaw with edamame beans, plenty of different sauces and condiments to make your meal just the way you want.

Our large group of nine took the Sunset and Celestial Cruise with Harriet Witt speaking in mid-November and it was one of my favorite things we did on our trip to Maui.

We were lucky to see two whales even though we were told it was early in the season to be seeing them. Due to high winds, they weren't able to take the boat as far away from shore as they usually do, so some there was some impact from the lights at shore on the star gazing experience.

We absolutely loved Harriet's narration! Members of our group ended up laying on our backs at the bow and could really take in what she was sharing. It was such a unique experience and getting to learn from someone like her was an amazing opportunity.

The food was a nice treat but not the reason to go on this cruise.

I've been on a few whale watches with these guys.

BOAT:
It seemed a little old but up-kept. 2-levels of indoor and outdoor seating and easily accessible. The stairs leading from the bottom to upper deck wasn't steep at all. The bow section has a cool stadium-style bench seating of 3 rows which makes great use of space and gives passengers a great view. One restroom started to smell pretty bad by the end of our 2-hour voyage. Not sure if it was the part of a passenger or the boat's system.

STAFF:
Everyone was friendly and professional. However, they should have a naturalist on-board to teach & inform guests of the whales. Instead there was a lot of dead silence and motoring.

OVERALL:
Whale watches are such a hit & miss. I'd suggest listening to the weather forecast a few days ahead, then buy your tickets for a morning sail which generally is calmer than the afternoon.

We had an amazing time with PacWhale Eco Adventures on the Molokini and Turtle Arches snorkel tour! 🐢🌊 The captain and crew were absolutely wonderful—friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to answer all our questions. Their passion for marine life and care for every guest really stood out.

The food was great too—breakfast included croissants, pineapple, banana bread, and orange slices, and lunch was a tasty combo of burgers, salad, and refreshing drinks. Everything was fresh and well-organized.

The snorkeling experience was unforgettable—clear water, beautiful fish, and such a fun time for everyone. They even had a lily pad for kids, which was a huge hit with our 3-year-old! It was perfect for little ones who didn’t want to jump fully into the water but still wanted to play safely. Life jackets and floating supports were also provided, making it stress-free for families.

Overall, this trip was totally worth it—great value, great crew, and an incredible experience. I’d highly recommend it to all families visiting Maui! 🌺🚤🐠

We did the Cathedrals boat dive and it was amazing. The crew was great, the dive was great. It's a little more pricy for the boat dives but honestly worth it between the full service offered, quality of staff, providing lunch/snacks. I would definitely do this dive again and with this company.

Every time we come to Maui, Maui Diamond is our #1 dive company. Their boat is comfortable and well set up for the number of divers, and having a restroom on board is a big plus.

The dive masters are extremely knowledgeable, and you can truly tell they love what they do. Dave, in particular, makes the dive briefings fun and comical, which really adds to the experience.

They also provide snacks, beverages, and lunch, which is always appreciated. As always, we had a fantastic experience and will definitely dive with them again when we return to Maui.

After 6 boat dives in 3 days I have nothing but positive things to say about Maui Diamond. I have done a moderate amount of diving in many different locations around the world, and I really appreciate Maui Diamond as an experienced diver. 1) they allow each individual to come up on their own air consumption rather than the lowest of the group, allowing up to a 70 min dive. 2) they are a very professional crew with incredible experience in their dive masters who found some incredible sea life. 3) if you dive with the dive masters “Dave” he takes pictures that are far more incredible than my own, and openly shares them (air drop for iPhone users). 4) they have great snacks and a warm shower between dives. 5) they are safe and yet don’t sacrifice the quality of the dive.

Without a doubt, I will look to come back to their crew and dive more… it was a great experience!!!

Highly recommend this dive site! The staff were incredibly friendly, professional, and made everyone feel comfortable and safe. The operation is well organized and suitable for all diving levels, from beginners to experienced divers. As an added bonus, we stopped to watch dolphins and whales, which made the trip even more special. I would absolutely dive with them again and recommend them to anyone. The views can’t be beat!

I had a great time diving yesterday on the Maui Diamond. We were supposed to dive Lana’i Cathedrals but we rerouted to Molokini Crater and Red Hill due to wind and conditions. We still had a great day with 2 diverse dives! They were flexible and communicative about the change of plans in the days leading up to the dive.

Our captain was Don and my DM was Dave. Dave did a great job giving dive briefings and keeping us safe underwater and at the surface. He also went above and beyond helping me set up my kit to make sure it was in good shape for both dives.

Both dives were drift dives / live drops, which I was a little surprised by since I’m used to having a mooring line, but the crew handled everything well and safety was emphasized. My group had 4 divers and I know it can be a gamble but we all happened to align pretty perfectly on air consumption and ability.

I found Maui Diamond off a Reddit thread and I’m happy I booked with them. I would definitely come back for future trips!

This was my first, yet not my last, dive w Maui Diamond. The entire crew worked hard so divers had an awesome experience. David was dive master of my group. He made certain questions were answered, concerns addressed and he was very qualified for the job. All staff on dive boat and when I placed calls, were well versed in what to expect, professional, fun, funny and proficient. It was obvious they wanted customers to have a great experience and they enjoyed their sport and job as well. I highly recommend this company and all staff! I will be back next year.

Maui Diamond is the best. You're not just going for a dive, you're joining a team that is going to give you the best diving experience on Maui that is possible. The team is deep, experienced, safe, and fun. The boat is awesome (dolphins not guaranteed), the dive, of course, breath-taking, literally. They provide plenty of air. I can't emphasize enough how great the team made the whole group of customers feel welcome and happy. Can't wait to dive with them again.

First class dive from start to finish! We did a 2 tank dive to Molokini Crater and Nahuna Spine on Maui. Most of the divers were experienced with the exception of a few beginners. David did a great job of comforting the beginner in my group and kept a watchful eye on her making it an awesome experience for her as well. I would definately dive with them again!

Best diving in Maui! Brian was our guide and did a fantastic job! He was very patient and thorough with our gear, making sure we were ready to enjoy the day! Kudos to him and the crew!! My Wiley had 13 dives but Brian made him feel comfortable and was very good with making us see marine lives during both dives!! Highly recommend Maui Diamond 💎!
If ever back, we’d definitely go with them again

We had the BEST TIME with Maui Diamond! Beautiful first dive at Molokini crater full of life. Loved the pyramid and pennant butterflies on the drop off and our dive guide Dave found the coolest frogfish and a few blue dragon nudibranchs! We also saw a freckled snake eel and a grey reef shark cruised by. Our second dive was a drift dive at red hill and definitely did NOT disappoint. Dave found SO many fun critters for us to see including a dragon moray, jeweled anemone crab, frogfish after frogfish, nudibranchs, sponge crab, devil scorpion fish and of course we were blessed with a huge turtle! If you are on Maui you should DEFINITELY book with Maui Diamond to have a great day with gorgeous dives. Captain Luke was amazing on the helm picking us all up from our drift dive with safety and ease. He was such a badass parking the boat in the wind too! The crew made sure we had plenty of snacks and drinks and also fish ID books on board to identify all the fun sea life we saw! Highly recommend! 10/10!

Had an incredible time with Captain Matt and Sarah! We booked the Molokini Snorkel tour which got canceled from the wind and were easily and quickly rebooked for the following morning.

Check in was easy and painless- snorkeling was beyond words beautiful and we found 6/7 whales that were having a great time around our boat for about an hour on the way back, hands down the most incredible experience ever.

Matt and Sarah were very accommodating to all ages in our tour.

We had a really great time! Matt is very reassuring and installs confidence in every person. The snorkeling was amazing… large schools of fish! Waters were too rough for the scheduled turtle town, but we saw many whales instead. 🐋
Sarah was also very helpful and knowledgeable.
Snorkeling equipment and wetsuits were clean and in excellent condition.

Captain Matt and instructor Sarah were amazing and very knowledgeable on our Snorkeling and whale watching trip to Molokini Crater. We had multiple beautiful sightings of humpback whales. The snorkeling experience was surreal with many pretty fishes around the crater.

Alex & Sarah were great guides on this snorkel adventure! It was such a beautiful day. We got to see lots of marine life in the super clear water in the crater and then we saw several whales throughout the trip. They were super helpful and entertaining guides. We were greeted by our captain and he seemed truly happy we were joining him today. Check in was quick and easy. Crew did a good job briefing us prior to departure and once we were at Molokini. They stressed the importance and significance of the sanctuary and provided a little history and background. The equipment was clean and up to date, the boat was clean and well maintained. It was nice to have snacks and drinks to refuel after such an amazing snorkeling trip. No pictures can do the beauty of Maui and Molokini justice, it truly needs to be experienced. Beautiful blue ocean and skies and such incredible marine life. On the way back in we saw a number of whales! Such a wonderful experience and I would certainly recommend it and will look forward to booking again on my next trip to Maui!

Captain Matt and Captain Alex made our Molokini crater experience fun and safe and inspiring. They were incredibly knowledgeable and funny and cool. We saw so many whales and swam with a beautiful array of fish. 10/10 recommend - definitely better than the bigger boats/experiences. This felt more personal and real while still being ultimately professional. Thank you so much. - love from the long boats people (and the beautiful wooden one) 🙂

Good time and Alex/Lucia were amazing hosts and did a fantastic job together. Very helpful with the snorkeling and whale watching along with lots of good information. Nice boat as well. Giving a 4 because the bathrooms in the take off boat- ramp and the surrounding areas felt like a beaten up off path place that we generally wouldn’t venture into. Underwhelming experience for the price.

We probably saw ten spoutings and a half dozen tail flips of various whales while enroute. Snorkeling we saw turtles, moorish idols, butterfly fish, needlefish, yellow tang, surgeon fish and triggerfish, brain coral, spiny urchins, pencil urchins, and more. Plus lots of snacks.

Fantastic experience. The captain and crew were great. The food was delicious. We got to see several groups of whales (that the captain did a fantastic job of following without getting too close) and even a group of dolphins! The snorkeling experience was great being away from the beech and over a reef. I would highly recommend Sail Maui!!

We had an amazing day with Sail Maui and Justin, Nainoa, and Micah. They were so wonderful and knowledgeable. We got to see many whales, go snorkeling with turtles, fish, and a shark. We were so pleased either our sunset cruise. The crew showed us whales- a pleasant surprise! The beverages were plentiful, the food was great, and the staff were so attentive. Aside from being a bit difficult to find the correct dock, everything else was even better than expected!

Sail Maui is the absolute best. We have been on numerous trips with these folks and just for the first time, took their sail trip to Lanai. It was incredible, the staff was terrific, good food, drinks and we even swam with two beautiful spotted eagle rays off the Lanai coast during our snorkeling. Whether you swim, snorkel or whale watch, this is an awesome group to spend your time with out in the beautiful Maui waters. Thank you, Sail Maui - Capt Kevin, Dakota and Chester - really appreciate your aloha spirit!!

We had an absolutely amazing family snorkel trip to Molokini with Sail Maui! From the moment we stepped onboard, the crew made us feel welcome—super friendly, upbeat, and great with both kids and adults.

The morning started strong with warm breakfast sandwiches and cinnamon rolls, which instantly won my kids over and set the tone for the day. The snorkeling itself was perfect for all levels. It was the ideal setup for a mixed-ability group.

The atmosphere on board was relaxed, fun, and very family-friendly. And the ride back? Cold beers and Mai Tais for the adults—such a nice touch after a few hours on the water. Truly the perfect way to spend the first half of the day. We pulled back into port right at 12:30, giving us the whole afternoon to enjoy the rest of Maui.

Could not recommend Sail Maui more. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip!

Big Kudos to Cassandra who helped me organize a snorkeling tour that was perfect for my needs. The catamaran was perfect as I prefer smaller group tours. Shout out to Niko who sat with me and my guest and asked us about ourselves, and Captain Brandon who always had a smile on his face, and made a special stop to visit a baby whale in the area. Breakfast was a nice step up from your typical store-bought muffins. What a great day!

I had an amazing time with Sail Maui heading to Molokini Crater for my birthday. Captain Brandon and the crew, Micah and Jess, were all fantastic. I’ve recently begun sailing and Brandon was more than happy to talk to be about how the catamaran was rigged and some of the differences between sailing a monohull and a cat. The experience at the crater was wonderful for snorkeling, seeing many kinds of fish, coral, and an eel. And we saw spinner dolphins including a very young one just learning how to jump and spin. All in all, it was an awesome journey and I’ll be back to sail with Sail Maui whenever I’m back on the island!

Had the most amazing snorkel trip for my first Hawaiian snorkel with Sail Maui. We were originally scheduled for a late morning snorkel, but due to no one else being registered for that time, we moved to the early morning spot. Captain Brandon, Nainoa, and Micah were wonderful. They made sure we all had a good, safe time. Had plenty of time to be in the water, got breakfast and lunch, and slightly rerouted to see a dolphin, which decided to do a trick for us. 10/10 experience!
