WOW. What an amazing experience. This was my first time to Hawaii and snorkeling in general, and Maui Snorkeling made it an amazing experience. Knowledgeable and kind staff, and a once in a lifetime opportunity to swim in a coral reef with colorful and beautiful fish— we even swam with a sea turtle. On the ride back we saw whales; and the captain was able to give us a lot of interesting information about the whales. I can’t wait to come back and snorkel with Maui Snorkeling again.
The crew was amazing! It was an unforgettable experience. The coral, the fish, sea turtles & the whales…. Highly recommend!

The crew was friendly and knowledgeable, gave us water and even played the actual underwater whale sounds happening below us using an underwater speaker. Watching humpback whales, a mama and calf, male whales pursuing female whales for mating, male whales dominating other males for female whale attention, all of it was unforgettable. Staff offered water multiple times during the excursion. I recommend lightweight shirts or blouses, shorts, and sandals or tennis shoes, and definitely apply sunscreen before the boat launches. This was one of my two favorite Hawaii excursions!

Did two, two tank dives with Maui Diamond in February 2025. 1st dives were at 1st Cathedral & Sergeant Major & Minor then the Molokini Crater and Ladders on another day. Awesome diving experience plus whale watching too! Both crews were great! Very professional, informative, safe, and fun! I tip my hat to Captains Luke & Steve and crew members Dave, David, Joe, Michelle, Beth, Nick, & Kim (thanks for the GoPro video of the whales under water!). Shadley was also very helpful with registering for the dives. Look forward to diving with Maui Diamond in 2026😊.
Nice staff, great dives. It was really worth it. 👍🏼Check your clothing before the dive. I swapped several things, but it was possible without any problems.

Had an awesome couple of dives yesterday, to Molokini back wall. I am an experienced diver, and can’t say anything but good things about this dive company and the crew. From beginning to end, everything was very well communicated, very friendly staff, well organized. Even though the boat was pretty full, there was lots of places to sit and enjoy the views (and whales!). Staff was great, captain Ben and dive master Don was very knowledgable and able to point out lots of great things. Dive itself was fantastic. The whole crew was engaged and enthusiastic, and added to the experience. Good snacks and drinks provided FYI. I look forward to diving with them again when I am back in Maui.
These folks really know how to take care of their passengers and scuba divers! They did a stellar job: everything from greeting to gearing up, ensuring that we had snacks and were hydrated, to making a point of including everyone and asking for feedback along the way, as well as keeping us safe, pausing for whales, and finding my 1st frogfish sighting❣️🤿🐋When I get around to editing my GoPro footage, I will try to post some of the amazing pictures captured on the backside of Molokini and the Lāhaina Pali. The guides and crew of the Maui Diamond are fantastic. The Diamond is a very comfortable boat for diving. I try to dive with them every time I come to Maui. Their trip to the cathedrals is a must do. Dave and Joe were amazing guides.
We had a great dive on our last trip with the crew over at Maui Diamond. Our crew consisted of Brian, Beth, Ben, Dave, and Nick and they made this a truly special experience for our first dive in Maui and for our 5 year anniversary. Our two-tank dive to Molokini Crater and Red Hill featured lots of good information on what we could see; good snacks, and even some whale watching as we sailed back into the harbour. This group will ensure you have a wonderful time on your stay and we look forward to coming back soon!
Great time diving Maui Diamond. Big boat, comfy, stable. Dove Molokini and Kim's. Group of 6 with Dive Master David. Had 2 great dives, saw lots of good stuff. Crew was safe and efficient, helped with all my kit. Would dive with them again.

We had an amazing tour! Our captain (Joe) and Crew (Lucia) were very professional, knowledgeable, competent, and friendly. I felt we were in good hands. The highlight for me was going to a "turtle town" before Molokini, where I saw over a dozen turtles hanging out in the reefs/rocks. We were the only boat there. Also, I very much enjoyed/preferred being on a smaller boat with a smaller group of people. Highly recommended.
Makena Coast Charters provides such a great whale watching experience. I went on a cruise with them last month and enjoyed it so much that I did another whale watch today. Every member of the crew is helpful and so friendly. Today was quite windy, with white caps on the water and yet the captain was skilled enough to give us a pretty calm ride. Whenever he needed to maneuver the boat in a way that could cause more wind or rocking, he let everyone know prior to the move. Mahalo for a very pleasant day on the water!

They were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone on board felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire trip. I truly appreciate the Captain for personally checking in on my 2 year old after he threw up.Their passion for marine life was evident, and they went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. We saw multiple whales up close, and the crew made sure we were able to get great views and learn more about these magnificent creatures. Went out with Makena Coast Charters this morning, and it was awesome. Joe and Jess were super friendly and made everyone feel right at home. The snorkeling was next level swimming with turtles and soaking in Maui. They were both a wealth of knowledge that only enhanced the experience. Plus, the food and snacks they provided hit the spot. If you’re ever in Maui and looking for a fun, laid-back adventure, this is it. 10/10 would recommend.

We loved the boat and the crew. The sailing was amazing! Our boat was quick in light wind and the crew kept the cruise quick and comfortable as we kept an eye out for whales.
Nicolas and his crew provided a safe, fun, easy going experience. We cruised, snorkeled twice, ate light breakfast and full lunch with eager bar tenders when we all finished in the water. We were a party of six adults and the boat had lots of room for us and other guests. Apparently the captain is a Whale whisperer as every few minutes another close view of whales was provided.
We did the "Turtle Reef Breakfast Snorkel & Sail" with Sail Maui and it was PHENOMENAL! I would highly recommend!!! For breakfast they had fresh fruit and delicious breakfast sandwiches (Vegetarian options available when booking). They took us out to a great spot with lots of turtles. Only one other snorkel boat was there, unlike some spots where we saw 4 or 5 boats and tons of people. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. This was a GREAT EXPERIANCE and cost less then a lot of the other companies offering similar experiences.
My girlfriend and I booked a sunset sail out the Lahaina harbor. First off the crew Kevin and Justin were amazing. Very friendly and accommodating. It was a smooth ride and very relaxing. It was almost the end of our trip to Maui and was a great way to finish it off. We would recommend Sail Maui anytime. The boat Paragon was well maintained and in top shape. The views were amazing and is definitely worth going.
We went on a sunset cruise last night and it was by far the best excursion we have done in Maui yet. The boat was nice, staff was great and attentive. Our drinks were never empty. We saw whales and even a mother and baby. It was a beautiful night and we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Highly recommend doing this at least once during your Maui trip!
PERFECT trip with Captain Chase & his phenomenal crew: Shannon, Jamie & (I think) Stephanie!!These guys all genuinely cared SO much about giving us the best time!Despite unfavorable conditions at their normal snorkeling spots, they found a perfect location for us to get in the water. Wife and I spotted loads of fish & coral - and even swam with a sea turtle! 🐢Even though this wasn’t a whale watching trip, the captain told us all to be on the lookout and went out of his way to give us the best views! One whale even came up to play with us (Up Close!) for several minutes!The food was better than expected & while I don’t drink, all the guests seemed to be into the drinks available at the open bar. (My wife said the wine was good & my Diet Coke was never empty!)If you want a crew that cares about you & your experience (Not just your money) — you want Sail Maui & Captain Chase!!!
