As we arrived at the Harbor I noticed Maui Snorkeling wasn't the only company taking guests out. There we several different companies. Maui Snorkeling should be the only one! Captin Greg was entertaining, Erica and Chasten were friendly and patient with ALL the guests. Captin Greg's timing to each location made us feel like we were the only folks in the water. My son throughly enjoyed the waterslide again other boats featured a warerslide but the inflatable version hats off the only one worth it. If you are supporter of small businesses this is one to support. The other ships were larger more crowded and I'm sure more commercial. Don't miss this opportunity when you come to the island of Maui.
We very much enjoyed our snorkeling trip with Maui Snorkeling and the fantastic crew. Greg was a wonderful captain that brought laughs and enjoyment throughout the entire trip. Emily was super sweet and helpful and Shayton (I don't know how to write his name lol) was great as well. We highly recommend doing the snorkel trip to Molokini and turtle town with them! It was a great part of our celebration of our engagement 🙂

Wonderful snorkeling tour. Kids loved the slide and jumping off the side of the boat. Saw tons of turtles and fish and the water was so clear. They had the boogie boards with windows for our smallest to enjoy the sea life. Crew was amazing, so nice and helpful. Would recommend this boat tour to anyone looking for a great day on the water in maui. 5 stars all around

We did the early morning tour. They served coffee, muffins and yummy pastries. We were also served sandwiches, drinks/sodas/waters for lunch. This is really appreciated! It was really nice not to have to pack and bring these things while on vacation.
The Captain was knowledgeable, personable and had a great sense of humor. He was honest, fair and genuinely concerned that everyone has a great experience. The ladies working on the boat were also friendly, knowledgeable and fun. Their skill on the boat and in the water was quite impressive!
We loved snorkeling in the crater. The water was so calm and clear. We saw many different types of fish and other marine life. They were swimming all around us. On the way to the crater, we even got to see an out of season Whale Mama and her calf! Even our Captain was surprised that she was there. He moved the boat to ensure we all got to see her. It was majestic and beautiful. Our 14 year old son loved jumping off the boat and going down the slide. It was great because everyone cheered for each other on the slide. It was a really great time and perfect day!
The professional photos that were taken were really appreciated! It was well worth the cost to have the gift of these memories captured in such great photos. Our photographer was so sweet and just an overall lovely woman. Her skill for taking underwater pictures was incredible. She even gave us some great suggestions on other places to visit during our vacation.

Captain was named Aaron I think. Awesome trip to Molokini. Very professional group of 3 that directed our tour group of 20 snorkelers. They grilled up an amazing dinner for us as well, unexpectedly good for middle of the ocean.
We had an amazing time. The captain and crew were great. Took us to 2 spots and we saw sea turtles. Breakfsst and lunch included. Definitely will book through them again!

1. Molokini crater was amazing and they got us a time slot that wasn't crowded at all. Super clear water with amazing sea life.
2. We must've seen 150 spinner dolphins and a couple babies!! So so gorgeous and then we still got to do a shallow snorkel at Honolua bay and saw around 10 sea turtles!
For breakfast, it's pretty light, only some bread and fruit. Please bring protein or greens if you want that for breakfast. Lunch was amazing both times, you get your choice of protein alongside regular salad and Mac salad. Plus a cookie at the end 🙂
Employees were all very professional and knew what to do when the weather didn't allow for the normal schedule. Snorkel gear worked pretty much perfect except for my partner's mask which had a crack in it and was very quickly exchanged for a working one by an employee.
Overall amazing experiences and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a great initial snorkeling journey.

To begin with, the cost of parking was surprisingly high. For a facility of this kind, I expected parking to be either included or more reasonably priced. The elevated parking fees felt excessive and added unexpected cost to the overall experience, which detracted from the value.
The food was another disappointment. It was very simple, lacking in both flavor and creativity. Given the setting, we were hoping for something more thoughtfully prepared or representative of the local cuisine, but it ultimately felt generic and uninspired.
On a positive note, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Their customer service was genuine, and they were clearly dedicated to making guests feel comfortable. However, there was a noticeable emphasis on upselling additional services throughout the trip. While we understand the business aspect, the constant sales pitch became a bit much and took away from what should have been a relaxing experience.

One of my favorite parts of my family’s trip! Crew was very knowledgeable and attentive; we got to snorkel with turtles and even seen dolphins on the way back! Food and music was provided and there was even a photographer on board. We had the best time!
We did the sunset constellation cruise and it was absolutely fantastic. Harriet was so fun and we learned so many cool things about our constellations and navigation. The crew was fantastic and provided excellent food and drinks!
We recently did the two stop snorkeling with PacWhale and it was amazing! The crew was exceptional and made it an extremely memorable experience for our family of four. The Molokini crater was super cool and full of sea life and we even got to spot a sea turtle at the second stop. PacWhale had comfortable lifejackets for kids and alternative floatation devices for adults to help relax and snorkel. They also had an option to rent a wet suit top to help stay comfortable. It was nice having a light breakfast and a full lunch included. The crew constantly checked on us to make sure we didn’t need anything and helped make it memorable for our kids with endless hot chocolate and a special session while sailing for the kids to learn about sea life. The snorkeling was great and the hospitality alone from the crew was exceptional. Highly recommend!
We went on a snorkeling trip to Molokini. Although we ended up not seeing the turtles that we came for, it was a lovely experience. Molokini ocean life is just beautiful, the crew was very accommodating and gave great instructions to first-time snorkelers. We also stopped at a second snorkeling location. Between that and all the snacks, I definitely got my money's worth.

1. Molokini crater was amazing and they got us a time slot that wasn't crowded at all. Super clear water with amazing sea life.
2. We must've seen 150 spinner dolphins and a couple babies!! So so gorgeous and then we still got to do a shallow snorkel at Honolua bay and saw around 10 sea turtles!

One of my favorite parts of my family’s trip! Crew was very knowledgeable and attentive; we got to snorkel with turtles and even seen dolphins on the way back! Food and music was provided and there was even a photographer on board. We had the best time!
We did the sunset constellation cruise and it was absolutely fantastic. Harriet was so fun and we learned so many cool things about our constellations and navigation. The crew was fantastic and provided excellent food and drinks!
We recently did the two stop snorkeling with PacWhale and it was amazing! The crew was exceptional and made it an extremely memorable experience for our family of four. The Molokini crater was super cool and full of sea life and we even got to spot a sea turtle at the second stop. PacWhale had comfortable lifejackets for kids and alternative floatation devices for adults to help relax and snorkel. They also had an option to rent a wet suit top to help stay comfortable. It was nice having a light breakfast and a full lunch included. The crew constantly checked on us to make sure we didn’t need anything and helped make it memorable for our kids with endless hot chocolate and a special session while sailing for the kids to learn about sea life. The snorkeling was great and the hospitality alone from the crew was exceptional. Highly recommend!
We went on a snorkeling trip to Molokini. Although we ended up not seeing the turtles that we came for, it was a lovely experience. Molokini ocean life is just beautiful, the crew was very accommodating and gave great instructions to first-time snorkelers. We also stopped at a second snorkeling location. Between that and all the snacks, I definitely got my money's worth.

Fantastic diving with Maui Diamond today! Beautiful day and fantastic conditions off Lanai… Cathedrals 1 and Nob Hill were awesome! Our guide Nick was the best and Beth with the on deck service killed it! We will be back (very soon) for more! Mahalo Maui Diamond! 🤙
Booked a 2 tank dive, Beth was very accommodating with rescheduling due to low numbers. The entire crew was awesome! Ernie was our guide and showed us cool spots and got us into all the fish, sharks and even saw an octopus cruising around.
On our annual trip to Hawaii I try to always include a Lanai dive with Maui Diamond, so by now Ive had 4 or 5 trips with them. This week's trip as usual showed the fun and professional crew that also is thorough in their dive briefings and very clearly safety-focused so the divers feel well cared for and prepared for any conditions present. This time we had Captain Ben and DM Nick, and they and the rest of the crew make a superior, competent team doing their best to provide the best experience to this group of divers they usually have not met before and which have widely varying levels of skill and experience. It's probably like herding cats to them sometimes but they do a wonderful job. A great time was had by all and got to see several endemic and uncommon species spotted by our DM's, like a Bandit Angel, Dragon Wrasse, or the elusive Curious Wormfish 🙂 Bravo to Maui Diamond and their wonderful crew. Hope to see you again!
PS: Here's a suggestion. Perhaps post multi-language signs in big red letters in the Marine head about no paper so those clients who dont know english well and thus miss that pretty crucial detail in the dockside orientation wont disable the head for the entire trip !

Maui Diamond Sea Sports is the only scuba shop you should be diving with when you come to Maui. Getting to dive the cathedrals with them was a bucket list item for me, and I can say that it exceeded my expectations by far. From the professionalism and kindness of the crew, to the incredible wildlife we all got to experience. I can’t wait to come back and dive with you guys again. Thanks for a great trip!
Excellent dive outfit! I’ve dove with many across the Caribbean and Oahu and Maui Diamond is one of the few that consistently applies diver safety protocols. Detailed brief by the Captain before boarding, Divemasters hit the key points along with a lil extra about the dive sites, and roll call completed before making way from each dive site.
The vessel has a head and sink in its own room. They offer snacks including fresh banana bread and an assortment of canned drinks throughout the trip.
Finally, the staff. I enjoyed the company of Ben, David, Kim, Nick, Michele, Sam, Dave, Don, Beth, Brian, Joe & Greg across four excursions. They worked as a team assisting us throughout the day. Tips are well deserved. A big mahalo to you all!

My two-tank private dive with Nick was absolutely incredible! His expertise truly made the day. At the 1st Cathedral, he captured stunning photos of me and the wildlife with the light beams creating a magical effect. The dive at Wash Rock was equally amazing, where he expertly pointed out a shark, a turtle, and rare sea life I would have missed.

Boat captain Keoni and (deck hand) Lucia created a friendly light atmosphere while maximizing the tour with information and efficiency. Our tour included snorkeling and Turtle Town but they got a call about dolphins nearby so we detoured slightly to catch a good glimpse and learn about dolphins. Turtle Town was also great and the tour finished with lunch—great sandwiches, chips and drinks. I would recommend Mākena Coast Charters to anyone looking to snorkel Molokini. The seats on the boat were very comfortable (I had worried about the ride because of back problems) and I’ve never seen water as blue as the back side of the crater (where the depth drops to 300 feet). Morning is the optimal time for this trip. Book the first trip of the day and you won’t be disappointed.

Turtle Town was also great and the tour finished with lunch—great sandwiches, chips and drinks. I would recommend Mākena Coast Charters to anyone looking to snorkel Molokini. The seats on the boat were very comfortable (I had worried about the ride because of back problems) and I’ve never seen water as blue as the back side of the crater (where the depth drops to 300 feet). Morning is the optimal time for this trip. Book the first trip of the day and you won’t be disappointed.

I had an amazing time with Sail Maui heading to Molokini Crater for my birthday. Captain Brandon and the crew, Micah and Jess, were all fantastic. I’ve recently begun sailing and Brandon was more than happy to talk to be about how the catamaran was rigged and some of the differences between sailing a monohull and a cat. The experience at the crater was wonderful for snorkeling, seeing many kinds of fish, coral, and an eel. And we saw spinner dolphins including a very young one just learning how to jump and spin. All in all, it was an awesome journey and I’ll be back to sail with Sail Maui whenever I’m back on the island!
Had the most amazing snorkel trip for my first Hawaiian snorkel with Sail Maui. We were originally scheduled for a late morning snorkel, but due to no one else being registered for that time, we moved to the early morning spot. Captain Brandon, Nainoa, and Micah were wonderful. They made sure we all had a good, safe time. Had plenty of time to be in the water, got breakfast and lunch, and slightly rerouted to see a dolphin, which decided to do a trick for us. 10/10 experience!
Wow! We stayed in Maui a week, and the highlight for all of us was the Sail Maui trip to Molokini. Reserving, getting there, and boarding was very easy. The boats at the next slip were blaring touristy jokes over the loudspeakers, we had a very quiet, chill, Hawaiian vibe crew. Breakfast/coffee on the way out was awesome, lunch was also very well done, with lots of variety and they accommodated our gluten free folks gracefully. The crew was very professional, very calm, very informative, and chill. I have snorkeled Fiji, great barrier reef, Cozumel, southern California, and Molokini snorkeling was outstanding, with the most vibrant coral we have seen in Maui or Kauai. The trip back was very relaxing on the "trampoline" at the front of the catamaran. We felt blessed the entire trip. I highly recommend it!
Ten stars if I could. What a magical day on the water. The weather was perfect and the crew was spectacular. Captain Chase, Dakota, and Joe were fabulous. So helpful, supportive, and such gentleman. AJ was the only female crew at board and she was a rockstar. She absolutely made it that next level experience. We got to sail for a little bit. Saw bottlenose dolphins and even saw a few baby sharks at our Mala stop. After snorkeling you get to sit back and relax with a mai tai or cocktail of your choice if you want. Cannot recommend these guys enough.
Most amazing experience ever!! Got to see dolphins on the way to Molokini. Very relaxing and fun ride there and back with cool Hawaiian music playing for us. The crew was awesome! Brandon, Micah, and Dakota made us all feel welcomed. They were so fun and we were all best friends by the end of the trip! Love the family feel on this boat. Snorkeling was 10/10 so beautiful. Totalllyyyyy recommend. Felt small like going on a tour with friends which we prefer over those big cruise boats packed to the brim with tons of people. Definitely check them out!

We just took a snorkel trip to Molokai Crater with this awesome crew. Brandon, Geoffrey and Nainoa were amazing with lots of Aloha vibe. My family and I had a great time and we highly recommend this trip, this crew and this company. Food was great and we saw so many fish and vibrant coral in bright blue crystal clear water. We will book again when we are back. Mahalo!
I can’t say enough great things about Sail Maui! It was the best sail company by far I’ve sailed with. If I emailed them any questions before the trip they were very quick to respond. It was a smaller boat so there wasn’t as many people compared to the other boats which was nice. The crew was also just incredible. Brandon, Jess, Micah, and Keely did such a great job taking care of us!! Also I didn’t expect it but the food was so good too!!! 10/10 experience. I would highly recommend this!!
The 2-hour sunset tour was beautiful, with great views, tasty spring rolls and chicken, and excellent cocktails. Staff were friendly and the timing was perfect for our kids (ages 4 and 6). However, no reminder call, text, or email was sent the day before—which would’ve helped with our busy Maui schedule. This is why I’m giving 4 stars.
