Getting to Kapalua Bay early in the day is a good call
Kapalua Bay is a popular beach that is frequented not only by Kapalua visitors but truly from visitors from all over the island. It’s not the size of its “sister” beach at D.T. Fleming just to its north and it won’t be able to handle that large a grouping of people. The parking lot in front of Kapalua bay is adequate but certainly not large enough to handle enormous amounts of cars and so it serves as a safety valve to keep the visitors at Kapalua Bay at a reasonable amount. You’ll be best off to get a parking spot in the morning hours and the earlier the better. If not you’ll be forced to park your car in the queue on the beach road above.
