I’ve been fortunate to have snorkeled several times in multiple locations, but my Maui Snorkeling experience was the best yet! Paul, the captain, had some great historical info about the Hawaiian Islands. He also switched up the order of stops based on wind and gave us excellent conditions at Turtle Town and then Molikini Crater. I got to swim with about a dozen green Hawaiian Sea Turtles, along with countless fish! The crew (Dani, Emily, & Walker) were super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about the fish we were seeing. Lots of information about the ocean wildlife, we saw a pod of over 300 spinner dolphins and had the best snorkeling I have ever had on Maui! Great price too!

We booked the Molokini Crater snorkeling excursion through our cruise line. My husband wasn't feeling well so had to drop out at the last minute and I went by myself. I was impressed with the team's attention to details and safety. They were great about giving me a refresher on using the gear (ten years since I last snorkeled!) and they provided commentary and information on the various marine life we were seeing. They also provided approved mineral sunscreen. Lunch was simple but tasty and the Mai Tais were the best I had during my time in Hawaii. I liked that the profits from their Ecotours get funneled back into whale research; that made me feel better about us having to cancel one fare too late for a refund. Special thanks to Rachel for the reef tour, Andi for the sunscreen and Mai Tais, and the captain for bringing us back under sail for part of the return trip.

We typically avoid big group tours and we were pleasantly surprised on this one. The crew does an exceptional job getting people off and on the boat. It was a windy day so we felt fortunate to be on a bigger boat. We did the 5 hour Molokini/ Turtle Bay trip and felt it was great value and happy to know money goes to support the Pacific Whale Foundation.

This fun crew is so awesome and kind. Top level service above standards and very clean boat! Everything was so organized. All gear provided, great working condition, with skilled diving and snorkeling team! Plenty of snacks (including banana bread) and cold beverages. They gave great instructions, added in humor, and very accommodating. I highly recommend them!

The boat and the people are great. Our guide was Birch, who has a youthful enthusiasm for diving and leading divers. We were super bummed when we heard that the boat had mechanical issues that caused them to cancel our Lanai Cathedrals trip. But they reached out right away and refunding our money the next day. Very professional. We will be back someday soon to complete that adventure with Maui Diamond.

Well organized dive trip to Monokini Back Wall with the Maui Diamond Sea Sports team. Solid communication prior & during the booked dive. Great diver to Dive Master ratio 6:1 with clear dive briefings before each dive. Plenty of snacks & drinks were provided during the morning dives. If diving in Maui I would highly recommend diving with the Maui Diamond Sea Sports team. Thanks for the great day of diving!

What an amazing experience with Maui Diamond Sea Sports! The dive itself was incredible, but the crew made the day even better! Everyone was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely fun to be around. I ended up getting too cold to do the second dive, and they were more than accommodating, letting me hang back on the boat and even keeping me entertained while everyone else was diving! 😂 You can tell this crew truly loves what they do. Great people, great atmosphere, and an all-around fantastic day on the water! Highly recommend! 🌊🤿

This was a very nice three hour ride round trip to Molokini crater and one stop at turtle town to snorkel with turtles. The crew were fabulous. Alex was very professional and very friendly. Michelle was the “mermaid” and she was very kind and sweet. The zodiac boat was perfect for the trip. I highly recommend this company if you want to snorkel at the crater. You’ll definitely experience Aloha from start to finish.

Fantastic experience. We had a great captain… Apologize — never got his name. But his assistant was Michelle Mermaid. Very nice and helpful. Just well organized. And very informative. Had a great time saw lots of fish. The captains were to go and what time. A wonderful experience overall.

We had an amazing snorkeling trip to Molokini with Makena Coast Charters! Captain Matt and Lucy were both fantastic, friendly, energetic, and they made the whole experience so much fun.
When my dad started feeling nauseous, they were quick to help and made sure he was okay, which we really appreciated. They also took us around the beautiful coastline. The views and snorkeling were incredible.
I highly recommend Makena Coast Charters, especially Captain Matt and Lucy. It was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

I’ve snorkeled all over the world, and this was by far the best tour I’ve EVER done! The customer service was outstanding, special thanks to Captain Matt and Lucia for their tremendous hospitality. The crater is an absolute must for any snorkel enthusiast, the water clarity and volcano were both unforgettable. Would highly recommend this excursion to everyone, it’s life changing experience!

Fabulous trip! Matt and Lucia were very helpful and informative. They help you with your mask, snorkel and fins AS well as getting back on the boat!!! If needed they provide “noodle’s” to help you float.
The crater was super clear today as the surf was a bit low( the early morning trip favors that condition) We even saw a big eel ! After leaving the crater we went along the back side of Molokini. Coming out along Makena and the seeing the very expensive homes Then we were fortunate today to visit Turtle town. We saw over a half a dozen turtles sleeping or floating around! What a treat! The swim back to the boat was an effort and a bit far for those who are not great swimmers. We had plenty of time at both locations in the water. After the swims we were given sandwiches, chips and a drink. Very filling
It was a perfect trip and totally recommend Makenna Mele excursions.

What an amazing experience. Captain Matt, and Kyle were informative and entertaining. It was a beautiful trip. We did the Molokini crater and turtle town 3 hour cruise. Worth every dime!! We were informed about endangered species and the bird sanctuary at the crater then off to turtle town. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to encounter several sea turtles. (Keeping a safe distance of course) Yori was amazing with communication and reminders. There were snacks, drinks and sub style sandwiches. The entire experience was just perfect. Highly recommend.
Tip: bring a GoPro.

We had such a great experience! Captain Matt was excellent and guided us well. You could tell they knew all the spots to go to. Would absolutely go again! We loved the smaller group and closeness to the water. The snorkeling gear and food were great. Wonderful time!

I had such an amazing experience with Makena Coast Charters! I did their Whale Watching tour to Molokini crater. The water was crystal clear and you could see so many different fish. Captain Matt and Lucia were absolutely amazing. Lucia used the hydrophone so we could hear the whales singing! They were surprisingly really loud but it was a beautiful sound, listening to them all sing to each other. She explained so many different things about the whales and how they travel to get to Hawaii, how intelligent they have to be to get all the way there, and how the mother whales teach their babies to explore safely. We saw more than 5 different whales on our way to Molokini and the crew made sure that they stopped and showed us where to look and ensured that everyone was being respectful of each other so that everyone got the opportunity to see and take pictures. I really had such a great time and experience! I highly recommend, it was worth it. AND! They had snacks 🙂

Best thing we did is Hawaii. Our captain Matt, and Lucia made the whole experience! We had an incredible encounter with a whale that swam under our boat. They gave knowledge and caught the whales song for us to hear. They brought us to the best snorkeling spot Monokini crater. The ocean was live and vibrant. We finished the 3 hour tour with a snap and Hawaiian juice as we found serval more whales. They truly made this trip special!

Great trip to Molakini creator. Crew was fantastic, friendly, and knowledgeable. They served breakfast lunch and drinks on board to pass the time while sailing. Snorkeling at the crater was unbelievable. Saw reef and black tip sharks, morey eels, and tons of fish along the coral. Highly recommend this trip for anybody considering a snorkel sale cruise.🤙

Fantastic experience all around. Their crew was professional and knowledgeable and we never felt unsafe during the tour. We did the 5hr Molokini & Turtle Town tour. The food was great, breakfast and lunch. The drinks were delicious on our cruise back to Harbor. I would highly recommend booking, whether you’re a visitor or a Maui local like ourselves.
