Tom Barefoot’s Tours offers several Vendors in this category. You could choose a sunrise tour, a mid day tour or a sunset tour. In the past, they were allowed to start from the top of the crater for the downhill ride. As this tour gained it’s popularity over the years, the Department of Land and Resources discovered that there was too much impact on the area, affecting it’s unique limited natural cultural and historical resources. In order to allow our visitors to enjoy this very popular tour, the Vendors can stage the ride at the 6500 ft level, for one of Maui’s greatest activity thrills!
