Kamaole Beach Park #2 is the middle beach in the triad of beautiful white-sand beaches in central Kihei known as the Kamaole beaches. The characteristics of Kamaole 2 are very similar to those of Kamaole 1. It is just short of a third of a mile in length from tip to tip, it has a sand bottom except at the edges of its crescent, it is good for snorkeling but only at its tips, it is great for swimming because of its sand bottom, and it also has a lifeguard tower.

Beautiful Kamaole Beach 2
Kamaole 2 is one of the most popular beaches on Maui. This may be because of its close proximity to the numerous condos that are located in the area. There is no specific parking area for the beach but there is on-street parking along Kihei Road. Most people it seems just walk there from their condo or hotel. As is the case with Kamaole Beach 1 the best time to arrive to avoid the winds would be in the morning, and the earlier you arrive the better.

Snorkelers at Kamaole Beach 2
Although the snorkeling is good on the ends of the beach, there is not much to see in the middle until you go way out. This fact alone does not deter people from bring along their snorkel gear and checking out what is there to be seen. In the morning time when it is calm, Kamaole 2 is also a popular spot for paddle boarding. This has become pretty popular in recent years and now days it is unlikely that you will arrive at the beautiful white sands of Kamaole 2 without catching a glimpse of someone enjoying a paddle board session.
