More Details About The Breaks
Lahaina Harbors Rights When its good this wave will start with a nice little barrel section before it shoulders up and then eventually walls up through the inside. The reef here is shallow and should be avoided at all costs. When you paddle back out make sure you stay out of the shipping lane (by staying on the north side of the buoys that marks the edge of the channel as youre paddling out), the Harbormasters have been known to issue tickets discount to surfers that have been caught obstructing the channel.
Lahaina Harbors Lefts This wave can be quite a bit longer then the right if it has the right swell but it does come with its added hazards. The longer you ride this wave the shallower it gets, dont stay on it too long or youll find yourself in a place you dont want to be and be, having to paddle back to the lineup using only your fingertips.
How do you get to Lahaina Harbor’s?
The Lahaina Harbor is located on the ocean side of the Banyan Tree Square in the middle of Lahaina Town. To get there in a car you will turn off of Front Street on to Hotel Street and then make a right at the stop sign. Parking can be difficult to find and if none is available on the street or in the public lot on the corner of Front Street and Prison Street then youll most likely have to resort to a paid parking lot.
